The Most Fun | professional maternity photography

I had the most fun at this session hence the title of my blog post. This family is amazing! Mom and Dad are SOOOO in love (and no it’s not because they just came home from their honeymoon either) and had a beautiful son! They were so happy, so excited, and so relaxed! I really just had a great time, and it actually didn’t feel like that much work either (other than setting up and taking things down). It was a blast!  Let me just say that Mom looked GREAT. She gave birth two weeks later I believe. Yes….she’s 38/39 weeks in these! Can you believe it!? I would have looked like a “swollen cow” by that point! Okay…swollen cow is not a nice way to put things, but trust me, I had serious water retention when pregnant with my first. I was unrecognizable in my pictures that were taken before, during and after the birth of my first son.

I’m even going to share A FEW of your daughter from her session. I cannot wait to share more because this little peanut (and I do mean little) was SOOOOOOO GGOOOOODDD for me! Mom and Dad had their fireplace going and their own small space heater already set up and blowing air. I was hot but I was SO HAPPY. I believe that is one reason why she slept the entire time with only a few breaks for feeding and then back to sleep she went. I could practically do whatever I wanted with her. I love her! I want to see her again already!

So here you are Merges Family!

Until next time….. Good night.

Gorgeous baby boy – 6 days old | May’s schedule is now available online

First, I wanted to let everyone know that I have updated my availability calendar on my website with May’s available dates. I would like to remind you that Saturdays book very quickly, so if a Saturday is needed, you may want to book at your earliest convenience.

And now I’d like to share a precious baby boy with you. He weighed as much as my boys did, so it was really nice to have a “filled out” newborn baby boy. It brought back memories for me. Mom and Dad were terrific to work with. His Grandparents were down and such a joy to hang out with. They were actually very big helpers and yet did not ever feel “in the way” at all. They were all fantastic! Mason slept so well for us! It wasn’t until the very end of the session that he let a few things be known, and even then it wasn’t loud at all. He was just hungry. Sweet boy.

Sweet baby Rocco | 8 days old |Ft Bragg Newborn Photographer

OH how I loved this baby boy. He was the sweetest baby for me.  He is so pretty and looks just like his Daddy but from his nose down, he is all Mama. His mouth is identical to hers. Isn’t that precious when you can look and see yourself in another person that you and your husband created? It’s amazing – simply amazing!

Rocco slept so well for us. He never cried, did he? I don’t remember him crying at all actually. He slept, ate, and oh yes…his diaper changed. I think I remember he fussed a little for that. Well, I had to hear something come from his little mouth. He has the best demeanor (even we can even say that about such a tiny one) and seems to be very laid back from birth. His parents are always a joy to hang out with. Thank you so much for having me!  It took me three reschedules to get to this little guy due to the crazy winter weather we were having at the time. I showed up and announced “I made it – finally!”. LOL

Beautiful maternity client and her new son | Professional maternity and newborn photography in Fayetteville NC

This client is one I have seen in the past, and she and her family are just as beautiful and sweet as ever. I always enjoy our sessions. The last time I saw and photographed them was her first maternity session and her first son’s newborn session. Now, it’s so amazing to be able to do it all again with her second pregnancy. He was born very soon after (just a little early but very healthy). I wanted to share a few from their session because I enjoyed it so much. Yes yes. I know. I’m showing a lot from this session, but I can’t help myself. I actually had more re-sized to share, but this post would be humongous. We can’t have that now. Thank you so much for having me yet again. I am honored, and I had a great time hanging out with you all. Your baby was SOOOOO good for us, wasn’t he? He did whatever we wanted. What a huge blessing!

Two newborn baby boys & a beautiful 15 month old girl | Fayetteville Child Photography

Oohh….I have the best sessions to edit currently. I’ve almost completed the one year old little girl now that the precious FedEx man brought me my present – my newly replaced Wacom p

en. I don’t know how anyone edits without it. It gives you the best control, and by nature, I like having a little control. =)

So, I thought I’d come to share a few images from each session. I know the parents would greatly appreciate this little sneak peek. It always helps with the excitement of anxiously awaiting to get that email that says “Your gallery is live and ready for viewing”.

So this girl may only be one, but she is FAST on her feet. She is such a pretty girl that I haven’t seen since she was a newborn. Mom was beautiful as ever (she looked GREAT while pregnant, too). Daddy was away but Grandma came to help us (you know, you get one side, I’ll get the other sort of thing). I taught her a bad thing not knowing that she had a GREAT MEMORY. Maybe Mom will just think of it as another training opportunity, but I know she’ll be running back behind her house and fence again before you know it. Sorry Mom!! It was so beautiful back there. You’ll see when you see her by the bush in this next picture.

And then, we went inside out of the heat for a few on my backdrop. I love this hand painted muslim, although it is not often requested, I am SO glad it was for this little girl.

Then this is a precious litle boy named Kaleb (with a K). He was the BEST for us. I was able to photograph him very early within the first week. It makes all the difference in the world. I have photographed this family and their daughter for years now. She’s four, and I’ve photographed her from about 15 months old. Now, I have the pleasure of watching their son grow up. Here are a few for you Mom. (oh, and Dad and Grandma..and…)

He smiles as he dreams of beautiful things.

I also loved using a new blanket of mine. They don’t always have to be cream. Texture is the “name of the game”.

And I love this one, too!

Then there is Baby Mason who came to me at 10 days old. He was still so tiny and sleepy. He never even made a SOUND the entire time. Everyone says – and of course I completely agree – he was born a laid back baby! Oh yes he is.

Those smiles they give us make the long sessions so worth it! They are such a blessing when I see capture them.

Newborn Anna | Fayetteville Newborn Photography

It was so nice to meet this family’s new daughter. I already know their oldest very well since I’ve been photographing her since she was 6 weeks old! Now, it’s her sister’s turn! What a beautiful TINY thing she is. She was so good for us once she was warmed up and slept like a charm after that. I wanted to share just a few for Mom (and she can then share, too).
