Beautiful family I was honored to see again

This is a beautiful family I had to share. I know you have seen them before on my blog as their faces are hard to forget. =) Just a quick sneak peek although they will be receiving their gallery in a few days or less!

I will have more to post soon from sessions I have had recently. Enjoy for now.

Look who is next | Office closed/out of town

I am busy editing like a mad woman this weekend. Here are a few of the upcoming sessions I’ll be sharing. I also wanted to mention that I will be out of town all of this week. I should be back in the office on Friday at some point. I will check emails on Friday. I will not have email access this week. I am so excited to fly out to see my husband and be there for his graduation and a semi-formal dinner (oh joy! I’m excited but so not use to that type of thing. I do have my dresses though. I still need shoes!).

Enjoy…..

And then these pretty little girls! I photographed Bella when she was 3 I believe. Now, she’s growing up and has a little sister!  I’m sad they have since moved away from Fayetteville. =(

I love it in black and white too!

And last but not least, here is one of my favorite families! I love love that they continue to have me as their photographer. I haven’t seen them since their little guy was born. Beautiful children, and I love where they live!

That’s it for now! I will share more from each of the above sessions as a “featured session” as soon as I can.

Sneak peek of a two year old and his beautiful Mom and Dad | Cape Fear Botanical Gardens

This session went very well considering I was photographing a two year old little boy. Boy isn’t he cute?! OH my, he’s cute. His Mom hired me for his newborn pictures, and he was no little baby. I expected him to be much bigger, but he’s not “big” at all. He’s just very tall. I mean, look at Dad. Seriously people – he’s tall!! And Mom is just as petite as she can be…and SO SO SO sweet!!

Here’s a sneak peak for you!!

Okay so I like this particular shot in both black and white and color. I can’t help it.

Aww…Kisses for Mommy!

Out of office dates | Beautiful woman and teacher below

Well, I’ve been battling trying to get my newborns born late, early and on time fit into the schedule before I leave this Wednesday for the remainder of the week. It’s been a little tough, and with no disrespect to the Army at all or their families, I really wish they gave the husbands more than 10 days of leave. I think the soldiers AND their wives would really appreciate it, as we typically schedule sessions from 6-10 days old or 14 days at the most if at all possible. When Dads only get 10 days, by the time they are home, that leaves little room to squeeze sessions in during busy “newborn” times of the year. And yes, living in a military town, means that most of my babies are born AROUND the same time. =)

But, I wanted to let those that read my blog know that I will be out of the office from Wednesday, April 21st through Sunday, April 25th. I will be back in the office on Monday but sessions and appointments start up right away! I will check email once I return. I will be unable to check emails during this time away for the most part, so if you need to contact me before I leave, please do so. I’ll do my best to email you back as soon as I’m able to before heading out the door on Wednesday. I’m meeting up with several young ladies that are other photographers and friends of mine from different states. My friend (for so long) and fellow photographer Pam Nafziger of Casual Moments Photography is hosting the get together at her home. It will be full of fun but also full of learning and networking with each other. I don’t look forward to the 5 1/2 hour drive alone though, I’ll have to say, but it will be worth it. Pray for safe travels and good times.

And, I would also like to share a few images from a session I had with a wonderful and beautiful woman recently at the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens. It was such a great time. It was only for a few pictures  – a very mini session – but what a wonderful time it was. She was so sweet, so funny and a little unsure of having her pictures taken. But, in the end, she loosened up and was so happy  and I pray that she was as comfortable during her session as I was with her and photographing her. What a joy to talk  with an older woman about her life and future and fun times and sad times. It was a little break away from the newborns and children, and sometimes, that’s just what a person needs to get a little rejuvenated. Thank you Jan!
