I had to add a FEW more…..of Miss K
Why not? She was fun, and I can’t help but share her – what a great young lady she has become from talking with her this day! I am also honored that she chose to come to me from Sanford, NC as well. I definitely wanted to make her proud.
I love using foregrounds a lot in my photography as much as I can that is (most of my subjects are busy little people, not young adults. When I can get someone who has ideas, takes direction, stays STILL and such, I do my best to use what I see and what I love.
MY FAVORITE from the entire session!! I love others, but this one shows a little more sass, and I love it! I love it in both color and black and white, but I’m showing only color for now.
another..love a little texture added to the image. It’s a color texture, and it really brings out the background. I LOVE IT! I love her arch and angle. She remembers what I would tell her – and I also let her know that although we don’t really do this type of posture in real life, we sure could do it here for pictures! It’s all about exaggeration!
One last closeup that I love. I was excited when the wind caught her hair. It couldn’t have been at a more perfect time. Plus, the breeze felt soooo good that day. She and I both didn’t even break a hard sweat! She was able to stay “pretty pretty” for the camera. I use to say that to my boys when they were little,. and I know my Mom used to say that very same thing to me as a child <grin>.
That is it for now. I’M FINALLY starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. After today’s holiday festivities (a neighborhood bar-b-que and a MUCH needed break), I have to get busy packaging orders to be delivered and continue proofing. My next session will be another newborn session, and then Imust complete the last engagement session!
Until next time! Enjoy your HOLIDAY WEEKEND everyone!!

Home from a session…
And I wanted to share a FEW more of the happy little guy below as I’m downloading/backing up my morning session. Then, it’s back to proofing for me! It’s awful when you’re playing catch up all day and into the night long, everyday. But, I can definitely say that my clients deserve it!
Last one for now. It has to put a smile on your face!
That’s it for now. I HAVE to finish a CD Slideshow and then get back to the Senior Sessions. They take much longer to proof.

I’m really up and running!!!!
And now, I have A TON of work (catching up) to do! This is the next session that I will be working on. (then, brothers at the Gardens, a Senior Session, a Maternity session who already had her newborn session, and the list goes on and on).
I have to say something about this lil’ guy. Seriously, I have done A LOT of newborn sessions – and I do mean A LOT! Never, ever, ever (may I stress never ever) had a newborn like this lil’ man. He was only 4 weeks old, and if he could make more sounds, we would have honest to goodness heard this guy LAUGH OUT LOUD. He wasn’t fussy at all. This image here – he is NOT fussing. He is actually smiling SO BIG (and it was on purpose) that he squirmed with delight, yet no noise came out. I could not believe it. It was not gas, it was not “luck”, he literally was smiling (huge, and if you saw his body movements, he was BUSTING out laughing) that big INTENTIONALLY. I mean, I just don’t get it. I have never seen this, and it was the utmost sweetest thing I have EVER seen in a newborn. He was four weeks old, and he even slept for us (not shown here of course). I’m still in shock when I think about it. I came home, and it was quite difficult to explain it even to my husband. But, Mama and Grandma sure know what I’m talking about. This is ONE HAPPY BABY!!
